Nick Uhas is the 32-year-old science guy competing on America’s Got Talent, Season 12. He thinks science is cool and he wants the rest of America to feel the same way — so his job is to present science in a fun and friendly way. He succeeded big time at his AGT audition.
Part of Nick’s demonstration involved having the judges — Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell — sucking gas out of a balloon. Everyone knows what happens when you suck in helium (your voice turns squeaky high). But Nick surprises the judges when he has them suck in sulfur hexafluoride. It has the opposite effect. It makes their voices incredibly low. Nick got yeses from all four judges with one contingency. Mel B wants Nick to make Howie disappear next time. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
