In the black-ish episode Liberal Arts, Zoey (Yara Shahidi) goes to her two-day orientation at college. But she ditches the campus tour after meeting Aaron (Trevor Jackson), who runs the Black Student Union booth. When Zoey finds out that her father Dre (Anthony Anderson) never turned in her housing application, she pleads her case to college president Schock (Matt Walsh) and Dean Parker. Get ready to see more of Schock and Parker — they’ll be in the black-ish spin-off which will follow Zoey at school.

Dean Parker is portrayed by Chris Parnell. He’s best known from his 14 years on Saturday Night Live (1998-2012) and in the films 21 Jump Street (Mr. Gordon), and Anchorman; The Legend of Ron Burgundy (Garth Holliday). Parnell is also a prolific voice actor – Archer (Cyril Figgis), The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show (Mr. Peabody), and WordGirl (The Narrator), among others. black-ish airs Wednesdays at 9:30pm on ABC.
