There are two country singers left on The Voice, Season 12 — Lauren Duski on Team Blake and Brennley Brown, who was on Team Blake but was stolen by Blake’s GF Gwen Stefani. Brennley was stolen after “losing” her Battle Round with Lauren. Together they sang the Little Big Town hit “Better Man” (see video below).

Both Lauren and Brennley have made it to the Top 8, and for the live semi-final round, they’ve been paired together again for “a competitive duet.” They will sing the famous 1971 country song “A Good Hearted Woman” which was written by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. It was a #1 hit and won Single of the Year at the CMAs. Jennings said he was inspired by an advertisement for Tina Turner which described her as “a good hearted woman loving two-timing men.” Tina Turner, btw, covered the song on her “Soul Deep” album. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
