Imagine you’re a singer. You make it on The Voice, Season 12. You make it to the Top 8. And then, before the live semi-final round — where four of the eight artists will be sent home — you find out you must perform “a competitive duet” with your teammate. And oh by the way — you have to sing one of the songs that made your coach Alicia Keys famous, “If I Ain’t Got You.” That’s what happened to artists Chris Blue and Vanessa Ferguson, the only two left on Team Alicia.

The song is in the wheelhouse of both The Voice artists but, man, that’s a tall order. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
