During the live semi-final round of The Voice, Season 12, the remaining Top 8 artist will team up for competitive duets. Some will make sense — like Jesse Larson (Team Adam’s last hope) and TSoul (Team Blake) singing the Stevie Wonder hit “I Wish.” The song is in the wheelhouse of both artists. But then there’s the odd pairing of 15-year-old Aliyah Moulden (Team Blake) and Hunter Plake (Team Gwen). Together, they will sing James Bey’s hit “Let It Go.” (Not to be confused with the song from the Disney movie Frozen!)

They might be a sensation like The Voice has never seen. After watching Aliyah’s emotional performance last week of “Jealous” (which she sang with her late father in mind) and Hunter’s consistent originality (he made Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” into something that “makes sense now,” according to Adam), we at 2paragraphs predict a mega hit. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
