New York socialite Tinsley Mortimer is joining the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City. In the premiere episode “It Girl, Interrupted,” we learn that Tinsley (the former “It” girl) is staying with Sonja Morgan and that Tinsley was arrested a year ago for trespassing on her ex-boyfriend’s property in Palm Beach, Florida. Tinsley was an “It” girl when married (2002-2009) to Topper Mortimer, great grandson of Standard Oil president Henry Morgan Tilford.
Page Six reports that Topper Mortimer has been dating successful shoe designer Tabitha Simmons (photo below) since 2014. How successful is she? Charlize Theron and Kate Middleton wear her shoes, to name just a couple of fans. See below. Prior to their engagement, Tinsley acknowledged her wedding anniversary with Topper by posting photos from their wedding (below) with the caption: “No longer married but still my great friend.” Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
