During the first Battle Round on The Voice, Season 12, coach Gwen Stefani has given two of her female artists, Stephanie Rice and Caroline Sky, the classic love song “Try To Love Again.” It’s an Eagles song, written and sung by Randy Meisner, on the band’s best selling album Hotel California (1976). During rehearsals, Stephanie and Caroline get to work with guest adviser, four-time Grammy Award winning singer Celine Dion.
While Caroline’s voice shines as she performs, there is something a little more heartfelt in Stephanie’s voice. Maybe it has something to do with Stephanie’s love life — she’s been engaged to her fiancé, Janeth, for a year, but put off the wedding to pursue music. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
