On Black Ink Crew, the Harlem team is in Puerto Rico for a tattoo convention. But as Donna explains, Ted – the manager of the new 113th Street shop – “was rejected from the convention for being an idiot and forgetting to send in the paper work.” Donna says, “If I handled this rather than Ted, we wouldn’t be in this position.” Ted knows he screwed up and he tries to remedy the situation by hitting up a friend who owns a local shop, Live Once Ink. He asks his friend if they can work in his shop. It’s a big favor to ask.
While waiting outside, Donna again says she would have handled the situation differently. She would have been more aggressive with the shop owner. She’d say something like, Listen I know you don’t have any clients right now because everyone’s at the convention, we can get your place poppin. Everyone agrees to disagree with Donna. Luckily for Ted, the generous owner of Live Once Ink lets them in. Black Ink Crew airs Wednesdays at 8pm on VH1.
