In his 2010 novella A Good Marriage, the king of horror Stephen King writes about a couple who have been married for 25 years. Things take a wicked turn when the wife, Darcy Anderson, discovers that her husband is a serial killer. The husband, Bob, admits past crimes but says since he got married, his murderous alter ego “Beadie” had receded. He begs her to forget about it. Darcy agrees but who could forgive and forget something like that?
