The protagonist of the FX historical TV series Taboo is James Keziah Delaney (Tom Hardy). After spending 10 harrowing years in Africa, he returns to 1814 England. He surprises everyone by showing up at his father’s funeral, especially two people who assumed James was dead: Chairman of the East India Company (Jonathan Pryce) and James’ half-sister Zilpha. Zilpha might be called shocked, rather than surprised.
Zilpha Geary is portrayed by Oona Chaplin. The Spanish-born actress is known for her roles on Games of Thrones (Talisa Stark) and The Hour (Marine Madden) with Dominic West. Chaplin is also recognized for her roles in the Nicholas Sparks movie The Longest Ride with Scott Eastwood, and in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace (Perla de las Dunas Receptionist). Chaplin is the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin and great-granddaughter of Eugene O’Neill. Taboo airs Tuesdays at 10pm on FX.
