In the Conviction episode ‘Black Orchid’, the team investigates a murder that matches the work of infamous serial killer known as “Black Orchid Killer.” Here’s the twist: the man known as the Black Orchid Killer (aka Clark Sims) is in jail and says “he didn’t kill those women.” So the current murder is either a copycat killer, or the real Black Orchid Killer and Sims is really innocent.
Clark Sims is portrayed by Patrick Breen. He’s known for his roles on BrainDead (Cole Stockwell), The Good Wife (Captain Terrence Hicks), Madam Secretary (Andrew Munsey), Royal Pains (Therapist Bob), and Boston Legal (ADA Otto Beedle), among others. Breen is also recognized for his roles in the films Men in Black (Mr. Redgick) and Galaxy Quest (Quellek). Conviction airs Sundays at 10pm on ABC.
