In the Chicago P.D. episode ‘Sanctuary,’ two young black murder suspects take refuge inside a church and the police are blocked from entering it by the priest. Not all the parishioners agree with the priest’s protection. The mother of the victim shows up and spits in his face. When the church suffers a fire, it opens an old would in the city.
The priest, Father McSorley, is portrayed by Zach Grenier. He’s known for his roles on BrainDead (Dean Healy), Deadwood (Andy Cramed), Touching Evil (Special Agent Hank Enright), and 24 (Carl Webb), but he’s perhaps most recognized for his role as lawyer David Lee in The Good Wife, a role he’s reprising for the spin-off The Good Fight which premieres on February 19 on CBS, and will be available on CBS All-Access. Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10pm on NBC.
