Elaine Quijano is the moderator of the 2016 Vice Presidential Debate which will be televised on Tuesday, October 4 (9pm). She is a CBS News anchor who has covered everything from Hurricane Hermine to Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal and divorce. She has been following GOP candidate Donald Trump closely as most news anchors have. But unlike many American anchors, she occasionally tweets in Spanish.
On August 30, when Mexico’s President Enrique Pena Nieto tweeted that Trump accepted an invitation to meet, Quijano retweeted the President: “Es oficial…” Perhaps due to her new gig as moderator, she hasn’t tweeted since August 31, after Trump’s immigration speech.
See you ladies and @MajorCBS shortly for @realDonaldTrump‘s immigration speech on @CBSNLive! https://t.co/pjyGpzC2wS https://t.co/61DAyQlwpK
