In the This Is Us episode ‘The Game Plan’, while Kevin (Justin Hartley) notices similarities between him and his character on stage, in the past his parents Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) argue about starting a family. When Jack says he wants kids, Rebecca says, “You knew when you married me that I didn’t want to become a mother.” Rebecca enjoys the married-without-children life which includes singing at bars. In this episode, she gets to sing at her favorite bar on Super Bowl Sunday (and her favorite team the Pittsburgh Steelers are in it).
At the bar, Rebecca/Mandy Moore sings with the IRL band Dawes. Their latest album “We’re All Gonna Die” includes the hit songs “One of Us” and “When the Tequila Runs Out” (see/listen to video below). This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9pm on NBC.
