On the New Girl episode ‘Hubbedy Buddy,’ Jess (Zooey Deschanel), Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) volunteer their time to make sure every eligible American is registered to vote. It sounds nice but then Jess and Cece bet Schmidt that they can get more people to vote in the presidential election – the girls play dirty. The woman they report to at the voting office is Mary Ellen.
Mary Ellen is portrayed by Kate Flannery. She’s best known for her role as Meredith Palmer on The Office. Flannery is currently filming the 2017 comedy Stuck with Heather Matarazzo (Welcome to the Dollhouse) and Joel McHale (Community). New Girl airs Tuesdays at 8:30pm on FOX.
