Billy Gilman sings his high croon and people swoon. It’s been happening for years. Billy Gilman used to be a country artist — successful enough he opened for Miley Cyrus’s dad Billy Ray and got a Grammy nomination — but he’s always wanted to sing another way. Guess what? He sounds like he was right about the change. All four coaches’ turned their chairs for his Blind Audition on The Voice. First to turn for Billy was Adam Levine, who said Billy had that “intangible quality.”
Adam won Billy Gilman’s loyalty with the early turn — he’s on Team Adam now. Blake probably didn’t have a chance since Gilman is moving away from country. (He sang the Adele song ‘When We Were Young’.) But Blake did say something everybody seemed to agree on. “You found your sound,” Blake told him.
