On the Season 23 premiere of Dancing with the Stars, the package about former child star Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady, The Brady Bunch) rehearsing with her pro dancer partner Artem Chigvintsev, McCormick was seen crying a few times. She was excited and emotional about the whole experience. And some of that nervous emotion was evident on the dance floor during their first performance — to a version of Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman.”
After the performance, judge Bruno told McCormick “You moved very well. But next time relax a little bit.” Carrie Ann said she loved McCormick’s vulnerability but also suggested that she trust Artem a bit more” next time. Carrie Ann and Bruno gave them 6s; Julianne and Len gave them 5s. Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
