In the Lifetime TV movie Newlywed and Dead, newlywed Kristen Ward starts to doubt her new husband Jay Morgan (Christopher Russell) when his aunt is found dead. Her murder leads Kristen to investigate the death. In a creepy Rebecca-kind-of-twist, Kristen discovers that she’s a dead ringer for Jay’s mother, who Jay (as a boy) killed by pushing her down the stairs, although he vehemently says it was an accident. Kristen is portrayed by Shenae Grimes-Beech. The Canadian-born actress is known for her role as Annie Wilson on 90210 (the Brenda Walsh of the spinoff), and as Darcy Edwards on Degrassi: The Next Generation and Degrassi: Minis. Grimes-Beech is also recognized for her role as Trudie in the 2011 film Scream 4. Newlywed and Dead premieres on Saturday, July 2 at 8pm on Lifetime.
