Former presidential candidate and Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich will address the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Watching him in the audience will be his wife of 16 years, Callista née Bisek Gingrich. She and Gingrich met in 1993. Bisek was working for Republican Congressman Gunderson while Gingrich was House Minority Whip and married to his second wife, Marianne. After their six-year affair was revealed, and Gingrich’s second divorce was finalized, he married Bisek, a Catholic, in 2000. Gingrinch converted to Catholicism in 2009.
Callista Ginrich, 50, who is 13 years younger than her husband, is now president of Gingrich Productions. The company has published four children’s books including Yankee Doodle Dandy and several documentary films including their latest The First American about George Washington which is being screened at the RNC on July 20.
