Reko Rivera of Tampa Bay, Florida is competing for a spot on American Ninja Warrior at the Atlanta qualifier. It will be the 30-year-old’s fifth time competing on the show. Reko came closest to reaching the finals during Season 7 (last year) when he finished in 16th place. The top 15 go to the finals in Las Vegas.
American Ninja Warrior fans will recognize Reko Rivera as the bearded guy with his signature torn red cape. When not on the set of American Ninja Warrior, Reko works as an actor/entertainer at Universal Orlando Resort where he occasionally slips into a Spider-Man costume, see photo below. Or maybe you recognize Rivera from his YouTube video “American Ninja-Saurus” where he swings on bars and scales rock walls wearing a dinosaur suit. American Ninja Warrior airs Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
