In the Season 2 commercial-free two-hour premiere of Aquarius, “Helter Skelter; Happiness Is a Warm Gun; Why Don’t We Do It in the Road,” detective Sam Hodiak (David Duchovny) takes on a new case involving missing young women. Meanwhile Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony) and his growing family move into the home of their new benefactor, Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys.
Dennis Wilson (who died in 1983 at the age 39) is portrayed by Andy Favreau. He’s known for his roles on 2 Broke Girls (Geoff), Bones (Charlie Baker), NCIS (Navy Lt. Eric Kutzler), and Revenge (Cameron), among others. He’s also recognized for his roles in the films Best Night Ever (Rick), What’s Your Number? with Anna Faris and Chris Evans (Matt), and The Monkey’s Paw (Kevin). Fun fact about Favreau: His brother Jon Favreau served as President Barack Obama’s chief speechwriter. (Note: he’s not Jon Favreau, director of Elf.) Aquarius airs Thursdays at 9pm on NBC.
