In the Shahs of Sunset episode “Lights, Camera, Kaftans!” everyone gathers for Asa Soltan Rahmati’s kaftan fashion show. When Reza Farahan sees Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi at the show, he says to the camera, “She doesn’t look like someone about to get chemo.” Reza adds, “No one can confirm anything.” He rolls his eyes as he confides, “I doubt her story more than ever.” When Reza says to GG, “We’re very concerned about you — what’s going on?” She replies, “With what?”
But GG does explain: “They say it’s very aggressive and ‘you have to do the intravenous chemo,” she says to the group. Reza walks away while she explains to the others including her brother Shervin Roohparvar, that “it’s two hours once a month.” When GG goes to find a beer, Reza says, “I think Golnesa is lying about having RA (rheumatoid arthritis).” Shervin’s eyeballs almost pop out of his head. “Why would someone do something like that?” Shervin asks. “Because they want attention,” Reza yells. Shervin admits: “Reza brings up some really good points” like why hasn’t GG changed her hard partying behavior — drinking, smoking and staying out at clubs until four in the morning? “Maybe she’s exaggerating a little bit,” Shervin suggests. Can you exaggerate getting chemotherapy? Shahs of Sunset airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
