In the Once Upon a Time two-hour season finale, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) is surprised to discover that The Dragon knew her friend August (aka Pinocchio). Last time we saw The Dragon was in 2013, in a flashback to when August (Eion Bailey) was turning into wood. August turned to The Dragon in Phuket for help. The Dragon tells Emma that August was “a conflicted man. But one who knew where to look.”
The Dragon is portrayed by Tzi Ma. He’s known for his roles on Satisfaction (Zen Master Frank), Hell on Wheels (Tao), 24 and 24: Live Another Day (Cheng Zhi), and City of Angels (Dr. Henry Lu), among others. Ma is also recognized for his roles in the Rush Hour movies (Ambassador Han), The Ladykillers (The General), and The Quiet American (Hinh) with Michael Caine. Ma will appear next in two episodes of Veep as President Lu Chi-Jang (June 2016). The season finale of Once Upon a Time airs Sunday, May 15 beginning at 7pm on ABC.
