In the Grey’s Anatomy episode “All Eyez on Me,” while the doctors in the ER deal with a roomful of cheerleaders, Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) brings several of the doctors to a military hospital to perform a risky operation on Sgt. Carson in order to save his life. But before seeing the patient, “the Dream Team” of doctors are confronted by the Carson’s surgeon, Major Thorpe. Thorpe doesn’t want Carson to be used as a guinea pig.
Major Eric Thorpe is portrayed by Scott Elrod. He’s best known for his roles on The Young and the Restless (Joe Clark), Men in Trees (Leonard “Cash” Morrissey), How to Get Away with Murder (Gideon Holt), Anger Management (Tim), and in the films Argo (Achilles Crux) and The Switch (Declan). Fun fact about Elrod: He was born into a military family — his father was an F-16 pilot. That’s Top Gun stuff. Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8pm on ABC.
