In the Blindspot episode “Erase Weary Youth,” Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and the team must uncover a mole in the FBI while being scrutinized by Chief Inspector Fischer. The situation makes everyone tense and “puts everyone’s secrets in jeopardy, especially Jane’s” (Jaimie Alexander).
Fischer is portrayed by John Hodgman. He’s known from his days on The Daily Show and in the Apple “Get a Mac” commercials with Justin Long (Hodgman was the PC, see below). Hodgman has since landed recurring roles on The Knick (Dr. Henry Cotton), Mozart in the Jungle (Marlon), and HBO’s Bored to Death (Louis Greene). He’s also recognized for his roles in the films Pitch Perfect 2 (Tone Hangers), Arthur (Candy Store Manager), The Invention of Lying (Wedding Overseer), and Baby Mama (Fertility Specialist).
