On The Family, the Republican mayor of Red Pines, Maine, Claire Warren (Joan Allen), wants to take her political career to the next level. Warren is eyeing a run for governor when her son Adam (Liam James), who was presumed dead after disappearing ten years ago, reappears. Claire’s husband John (Rupert Graves) thinks they should focus on their traumatized son instead of a political campaign but Claire disagrees. She announces her intent to unseat the Democratic governor of Maine, Charlie Lang.
Governor Charlie Lang is portrayed by Grant Show. He’s best known for his roles on Devious Maids (Spence Westmore), Big Love (Goji Guru), Private Practice (Dr. Archer Forbes Montgomery), Accidentally on Purpose (James), Dirt (Jack Dawson), Six Feet Under (Scott Axelrod), and last but not least, Melrose Place (Jake Hanson). The Family airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
