The accomplished and iconic author of the Harry Potter books and more, J.K. Rowling, has about 7 million followers on Twitter. Like many a famous person, she’s careful with her follows — selecting just 302 Twitter users to keep her feed filled up. Among those she follows are likely characters like the Library of Congress, BBC Radio 4, Gillian Anderson and Bette Midler. But less expected among Rowling’s follows is a Twitter user who goes by Moren1ke. Moren1ke lists herself as a “social media assistant.” The other interesting thing about Moren1ke — besides that her 1,428 followers include J.K. Rowling — is that despite her youthful (and beautiful) appearance in her photo Moren1ke appears to be almost 101 years old. She lists her birth date as April 5, 1915.
Is it evidence that Rowling knows people who actually do have magical powers? Or is Moren1ke’s birth date simply a typo? But if that’s all it is, a typo, how did Moren1ke get the world’s most popular author to follow her? Either way, it would seem that if you’re looking for a social media assistant, Moren1ke would be a very wise choice — and she’s most likely the only 101-year-old social media assistant in the world.
Of course it could be Moren1ke’s sense of humor Rowling likes:
