Jeanine Pirro is the former Westchester County District Attorney who charged real estate heir Robert Durst for the alleged murder of his first wife Kathleen “Kathie” McCormack Durst. Katie disappeared in New York in 1982. In 1999, the case was reopened. According to Pirro, she told investigators to meet with Durst’s friend Susan Berman (who corroborated Durst’s alibi) in Los Angeles where she lived. But before they got there, Berman was found dead in her home. Pirro says, “I knew, I knew, I knew, that Robert Durst killed her.”

Pirro, who played a big role in the HBO series The Jinx, also wrote the book, He Killed Them All: Robert Durst and My Quest for Justice. The title refers to the last scene in The Jinx when Durst goes to the bathroom not realizing his mic is still on and mumbles, “What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course.” Pirro, now the host of Justice with Judge Jeanine on Fox News, will talk about Durst — who she compares to as “your local butcher” with 48 Hours‘ Erin Moriarty, who started covering Durst more than a decade ago. The interview will air on 48 Hours on January 30, 10pm on CBS.
