Dr. Anjali Ramkissoon is the fourth year medical resident who physically attacked an Uber driver whom she thought was waiting for her. He was waiting for someone else. After a video capturing the attack was watched more than 5 million times on YouTube, Dr. Ramkissoon has been put on administrative leave while the hospital conducts an internal investigation.

After the incident, the Florida doctor appeared on Good Morning America with George Stephanopoulos who asked, when you see that video, what do you see. Ramkissoon says, “I see a person that is not me. I am ashamed. I still can’t watch the whole video.” She explains that a lot had happened the day including her father being admitted to the hospital and she and her boyfriend of two years had broken up. The Uber driver did not press charges. Ramkissoon says the driver has accepted her apology. “I am grateful,”she says.
