Who Is Sheldon’s Date Vanessa On ‘The Big Bang Theory’?

The Big Bang Theory hasn’t been the same since Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) broke up. When Amy goes out on a date with “Dave” (Stephen Merchant) who she meets via a dating app, Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) try to spy on them. Meanwhile, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg), who feel guilty for getting Amy and Dave together, try to set Sheldon up on a date with Vanessa.

Vanessa is portrayed by Analeigh Tipton. If she looks familiar to BBT fans it’s because she’s been on the show before, as Analeigh in the 2008 episode “The Panty Pinata Polarization.” (Howard and Raj set out to find the “America’s Next Top Model” house, and there she was. See photo below.) Tipton is best known for her roles on the TV shows Manhattan Love Story (Dana) and Hung (Sandee). She’s also recognized for her roles in the films Lucy (Caroline), Crazy, Stupid, Love. (Jessica), Two Night Stand (Megan), and The Green Hornet (Ana Lee). The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8pm on CBS.
