Detroit pastor Kevin Ramsby was alone in his house when he awoke to breaking glass. Downstairs was an intruder, a stranger. Ramsby said when he made eye contact with the intruder, he said he looked “possessed.” Ramsby lunged at the man who had a large knife in his hand. Ramsby was stabbed 37 times and left for dead.
Ramsby survived. Four months later, the intruder, Wesley McLemore, was arrested in Alabama and eventually extradited back to Michigan. After five months of therapy almost every day, Ramsby returned to his congregation at Revival Tabernacle. He says he’s been “focusing on the good that’s coming out of it all” including the opportunity to turn an abadoned bookstore into a new ministry for young men. Answered Prayers airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
