7 Days in Hell, HBO’s new mockumentary series set to air this summer, will feature the greatest tennis match of all-time. Forget Borg-McEnroe, Nadal-Federer, Sampras-Agassi. And 7 Days in Hell will even make mincemeat of the current longest match on record, the epic Wimbledon battle between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut, which lasted 11 hours over three days.
Andy Samberg, hilarious comedy king of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, plays fictional tennis star Aaron Williams. Williams battles Charles Pool, played by Kit Harington (aka Jon Snow of GOT), in a match that lasts for 7 days. See the teaser, Eternal Flames. As Serena Williams herself says in the commentary: “The Williams-Poole match… it wasn’t even a match, it was something else.” Serena always gets it right. Tune in July 11.
