Lifetime Movie Network is airing Death Clique, a teen thriller that’s based on the true, tragic death of Skylar Neese. Skylar was a sophomore in high school in Morgantown, West Virginia. She had two best friends, Shelia Eddy and Rachel Shoaf. But when Skylar found out that Shelia and Rachel had become sexually intimate, Shelia and Rachel plotted the murder of Skylar. It was the summer of 2012 when Shelia and Rachel took Skylar to the woods, smoked some pot, and then stabbed Skylar to death. Months later, they tweeted as usual. The day Skylar’s body was found (March 13, 2013), Eddy tweeted: “Rest easy Skylar, you’ll ALWAYS be my best friend,” with a photo montage of her and Neese together, and “worst day of my whole life.”
