Rock n’ Rock Hall of Famer Steven Tyler, Aerosmith’s lead singer, is releasing his first-ever solo album. Since all the songs have a country flavor, Tyler relocated to Nashville to produce the album. Yes, country. Tyler’s been working out his famous tongue at Scott Borchetta’s Blackbird Studios. It’s been hard work, except when it comes easy. Tyler bragged to Rolling Stone that he recorded his debut single, Love Is Your Name, on the first day.

Borchetta is the mentor on American Idol this season so it makes sense for Tyler (he used to be a judge!) to perform Love Is Your Name on the season finale, Wednesday, May 13 (8pm on Fox). Don’t worry Aerosmith fans. Tyler ain’t giving up his day job. Aerosmith will kick off a tour this summer starting with a show in Glendale, Arizona.
