During rehearsals, The Voice contestant Sawyer Fredericks got to meet Gwen Stefani. The 16-year-old homeschooled young man is known for being very shy. But he couldn’t contain his feelings when he met Stefani. After lightly shaking her hand, Sawyer apologized. “Sorry, I’m a little starstruck,” he admitted to the Hollaback Girl.
The other contestants have noticed Sawyer breaking out of his shell. Kimberly Nichole said Sawyer approached her the other day with a big hug and she couldn’t believe it. “He’s really blossoming before our eyes,” she said. Of course shy Sawyer Fredericks turned completely red when she retold the story. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
