Artem didn’t understand the reference. He might be too young to get it.
Twenty years ago Ice Cube uttered that line in the movie Friday. He’s asked about it a lot. Even when promoting his latest movie, Straight Outta Compton, Ice Cube is asked about “Bye, Felicia”. Ice Cube explained it to Conan, it’s “the phrase to get anybody out [of] your face that’s saying something stupid.” A special director’s cut of Friday will be shown in select theaters on April 20.
