“Tonight’s the night,” tweets The Voice aspirant Rob Taylor, “Me and my bro Jeremy Gaynor box it out in the ring…” Taylor may be buttering up the Army Staff Sgt. Gaynor with pledges of brotherhood, but it’s the “in the ring” metaphor that really means something. It’s win or go home time on tonight’s #VoiceBattles. At least it’s win or hope to get picked up by another team time.
Rob may be too nice to survive. He’s got it right when he says of Jeremy Gaynor: “he’s real cool, real laid back, very structured… a really good role model.” Gaynor is trained for combat and ready for battle of any sort. Rob Taylor’s secret weapon, though, is his unfettered imagination–which can mean everything to a performer. Asked who he’d cast to play himself in a movie, he chose Leonardo DiCaprio. It’s a crying shame one of these gentlemen will have to lose. “Animals” by Maroon 5 is their song battleground.
Tonight’s the Night! Me and my bro @IAmJeremyGaynor box it out in the ring for #VoiceBattles ! Tune in to see how we do!!
