Jimmy Buffett is the singer/songwriter behind the popular 1970s songs Margaritaville and Cheeseburger In Paradise–and the entrepreneur behind all the businesses (hotels, casinos, restaurants) that followed the success of those songs. Buffett is now worth $400 million. The most popular musical act in the world right now, Beyoncé, is worth $450 million.
At 68, Buffett remains faithful to his persona as “the easy-going beach-bum guy.” And he’s loyal to his fans who go by the moniker “Parrotheads.” Buffett is in no way ready to hang up his guitar yet either. He just added new dates for his Workin’ N’ Playing Tour. Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers will kick the tour off in Florida in April, and then wrap things up in August in Camden, New Jersey of all places.
