After airing the biopic Whitney, Lifetime had TV journalist Shaun Robinson sit down with Whitney Houston’s one and only ex-husband, singer Bobby Brown. They were married for a long, tumulous 15 years, 1992 to 2007. They had one child together, Bobbi Christina Houston Brown. In 2012, Whitney died of a cocaine overdose. She was 48.
During the interview, Robinson asked Brown, “When was the first time you saw Whitney using cocaine?” Brown answered: “On our honeymoon.” The day after their wedding, Whitney and Bobby flew on the Concorde to Europe for a ten-day Mediterranean cruise aboard a yacht with a crew of nine. The trip was a wedding gift from their record labels — Whitney’s Arista (Clive Davis) and Bobby’s MCA (Al Teller).
