A New Jersey soccer mom, Nicole Faccenda, was sentenced to 10 years for trying to hire a hit man to kill the new girlfriend of her longtime boyfriend. From a federal prison in West Virginia, Faccenda is telling her story to ABC’s 20/20 on Saturday, December 13, at 10pm.
Faccenda says she was suspicioius that the hit man she was talking to in a grocery store parking lot might be an undercover agent as she had “watched a lot of Lifetime movies” but – just like the characters in most Lifetime movies – she made a poor decision and handed him $2,000 as a down payment with the promise of another $18k when the new girlfriend was dead. P.S. He was an undercover agent and Faccenda says he took advantage of her being at “an emotional low point” in her life.
