The ABC fairy-tale drama Once Upon A Time will be replaced by a musical comedy called Galavant during the show’s winter break. The new half-hour series stars Joshua Sasse (Rogue, Frankenstein’s Army) as a “once-dashing hero who’s lost the love of his life, Madelena” (Mallory Jansen) to the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson, best known as Detective Carlton Lassiter on Psych).
Galavant, which comes from the creators of Crazy Stupid Love, will air in Once’s time slot for eight weeks beginning Sunday, January 4 at 8/7c. Once will resume March 1.
