Former soap opera actor-turned-singer Jesse McCartney (All My Children) just released his new music video for Punch Drunk Recreation. There’s no narrative to the video, it’s just a really fun pool party. Pretty people drinking, laughing, and dancing like nobody’s people. It’s like Lionel Richie’s All Night Long but with a better beat (and they’re not dancing in the street, all night long.) Even Captain America and Flash get into a dance-off in Punch Drunk Recreation. (We think Flash wins.)
Most fans like the 27-year-old’s simple, lighthearted video. Knoe Well wrote on YouTube: “I love that good music videos are back!! It’s not about weird shit I don’t understand. Everybody nowadays are making way to complicated music videos that just look ‘cool’ but in reality makes absolutely zero sense at all and are unrelated to music content.” Punch Drunk Recreation is from McCartney’s new album In Technicolor.
