Actor Russell Brand tried to gain access to FOX News headquarters in New York. With a cameraman, he stood outside the building and spoke about the “Islamophobic narrative” that FOX News is distributing to Americans. A few security men escorted Brand into the building but when he asked to see the Hannity set, his request was declined. Brand has criticized Fox News – called it a “fanatical terrorist propagandist organization” and called Sean Hannity a “child” for the way he handled a debate about the Israel-Gaza conflict.
“Ouch. I feel so bad that Russell doesn’t like my style of interviewing,” Hannity said on his show, calling Brand an “out of work actor.” Brand has been cast in Werner Herzog’s Vernon God Little, a drama centered on a Texas teenager whose best friend murders their classmates in the schoolyard. Brand’s character pretends to be a CNN reporter but is really a psychotic fraud.
