Hole singer Courtney Love made her first television acting appearance on FX’s Sons of Anarchy this season. She plays Abel’s “straight-shooting preschool teacher.” It’s a stretch. But then again (or luckily?) she doesn’t have a lot of lines.
This week Love announced that she’s joining the cast of Lee Daniels’ upcoming hip hop family drama TV show, Empire. Terrence Howard stars as Lucious Lyon, a former street thug who makes it big in the music industry and runs his own record label. Love will play the recurring character Elle Dallas, one of the hard rocking musicians on Lucious’ label, which should be an easier role for her to play. Empire will premiere on Fox in January 2015.
