The season 6 finale of ABC drama Castle was dramatic to say the least. Fans thought they were going to finally see their favorite funny mystery novelist Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) marry NYPD Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). But as Beckett stands waiting in a gorgeous gown, we see Castle’s car engulfed in flames. But don’t worry, Castle wasn’t in the car. He’s been taken.
The premiere of season 7 will open with Beckett and fellow NYPD detectives Eposito (Jon Huertas) and Ryan (Seamus Dever) tracking him down. Executive producer David Amann teases: “Things that are going to come to light [about Castle] that are going to be unsettling for Beckett.” Spoiler alert: they will find Castle, but things definitely won’t be the same. Season 7 of Castle premieres September 29 at 10/9c on ABC.
