When not pole dancing on Vine, actor Taye Diggs is starring in the new TV detective drama Murder in the First. Not to worry TD fans, Diggs hasn’t given up the silver screen. His next film, Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant, will be out later this year. He’s not the lead–too bad!– but he’s bound to make some noise in what’s sure to be a doozy.
Larry Gaye is about “a womanizing cad of a flight attendant” (Larry Gaye played by Royal Pains’ Mark Feuerstein) who finds out he’s the father of a teenage son. The star-studded comedic ensemble includes Stanley Tucci, Rebecca Romijn, Marcia Gay Harden, and TV veterans including Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander and Patrick Warburton, Henry “The Fonz” Winkler, and SNL alum Molly Shannon. TV producer Sam Friedlander (Royal Pains, The Hustler) is directing. Friends writer Mike Sikowitz wrote the script. He knows funny. Sikowitz is also developing the highly anticipated Bill Cosby comedy project on NBC–slated for summer or fall 2015.
