The cast of the Netflix Original series Orange Is The New Black is filming season 3. Let’s start with the good news. Veteran actresses Blair Brown (most recently from that weird crimes show Fringe) and Mary Steenburgen will make appearance in Season 3. Steenburgen is to play the mother of George ‘Pornstache’ Mendez, which leads us to the bad news.
His mother will be around, but he Mendez character won’t be back for Season 3. The actor, Pablo Schreiber, landed a bigger role in the HBO dark comedy The Brink with Jack Black and Tim Robbins. In The Brink, Schreiber plays Zeke Callah, an ace Navy fighter pilot. Together, the three men face a geopolitical crisis and must save the planet from World War III. The executive producer is 76-year-old Jerry Weintraub who also got the green light from Warner Bros. for his manly, 3D live-action Tarzan movie.
