The Grammy Award-winning singer, Enrique Iglesias, will be the first American to perform in Egypt since President Mubarak was removed from power in 2012. Iglesias will perform songs like ‘“Loco“, “El Perdedor” and “Bailando“ from his latest album ‘Sex and Love’ at the AMER 5 Star Resorts Golf Porto Marina, on August 9, 2014. The concert is an attempt to attract tourists to Egypt, the Arab world’s most populous nation, where tourism has been crushed by regime changes. The AMER 5 resort is located near the great pyramids and ancient archaeological ruins. Tickets range from LE300 ($85) to LE1,000 ($143).
Iglesias said of his forthcoming show in Egypt: “It is the perfect place to let the universal language of music help people unite for peace and prosperity and share the joy of the moment, and each other.” It will be Iglesias’s second visit to Egypt. In 2004, he performed to a crowd of 25,000 fans.
