President Obama had a pretty good week on the Internet, going viral not once but twice, with neither episode having much overtly to do with politics. First, he crooned at Harlem’s Apollo Theater, doing a fair and quick karaoke version of the Reverend Al Green, who was in the audience. Next Obama was filmed penning a birthday letter to the new nonagenarian and American treasure, Betty White, slipping in a zinger about needing to see her birth certificate—long-form, that is.
Green and White amply saluted, Obama has a number of colors left to go. He’s unlikely to shout out “you’re doing a heckuva job, Brownie.” But there are rumors among the hardcore Obama faithful that, just before the election, he may reveal a rhyme for orange.
