Actress/singer/fashion designer Jessica Simpson is on the July cover of Bustle magazine. As seen in the close-up portrait below, the 42-year-old blonde smolders with a finger in her mouth.
The magazine reports that “the multi-hyphenate” Simpson spoke to them about “the power of being vulnerable, motherhood, and buying herself back. She is the mother of three children with her husband, former NFL star Eric Johnson, and launched her own fashion line, The Jessica Simpson Collection, which in 2015 reached total sales of $1 billion.
On the subject of social media, Bustle reports that Simpson views it “through the particular lens of: ‘how do I want to raise my daughters?'” She is quoted as saying: “I was going to post a photo because everybody’s down my neck. I’m like, OK. Then I go to post and I’m like, oh, but let’s go to the FaceApp [first]. What has done that to me? What is that doing to my daughter? What we’re doing on social media is creating this idea of what is beautiful and setting up our lives artificially — to look good for who?”
